Detox or detoxification is a process that is offered in a number of ways by rehab centers and also by self-discipline, it may refer to various different programs meant to remove all unwanted toxins from the body. Because of drug and alcohol addiction, drugs are stored in the body and trapped in the fatty tissues as well. For example, a recovering drug addict may decide to lose some weight. So the success of detox programs depends on the patient and his/her response to it and so there is no such idea of a good drug detox program.



The Process



The detoxifying process is time consuming, and involves long hours in a dry sauna, sweating the toxins out of the body. Along with this an organic diet, exercise and supplements help the patient in progressing to a drug free environment. Niacin, a constituent of the Vitamin B family is used safely and effectively during the detox treatment. The sauna is the most popular and advantageous drug detox program, and also an effective one.
