With drug addiction so common amongst troubled teens the availability of drug treatment and rehab sometimes becomes the measure of last resort and the research result. Teenagers can be very cunning at times displaying a temporary change of behavior only to lapse into their old wayward ways as parents loosen the noose and ease any disciplinary measures they have put into place to overcome their teenagers rebellion. Many teens like to go out and play during the night; parents should know where their child is and what they are doing. Dances and teen clubs are not always a safe environment when it comes to hanging out. In these places the teens are free for tacking the drugs with friends. some teenage are firstly take it when those feel tension in life or any small problem and some are take this to enjoy with friends but when it make be come as a habits then create a problems. Club drugs are becoming commonplace at raves, arcades, and other teen hang-outs. Teens are using these drugs in order to fit in. We are now finding out that these drugs are in our schools and homes. Teenagers are giving little thought to the dangers of club drugs and what the long term effects may be.
The following are some of the more negative effects of club drugs:
1. Memory loss
2. Hepatitis
3. Damage to nerve endings
4. Behavioral problems
5. Crime
6. Sexual assaults
7. Violence
Most of us know that anti-drug efforts alone are not enough. Our youth need effective tools and support to make correct choices. Preventing the use of alcohol, tobacco, and illicit drugs will help you by showing what to look for in the users. Look for any self-destructive behavior, such as: Teenagers coming home intoxicated or high, Anorexic behaviors - not eating right or excessively thin, Gambling with friends every day or night, Always on the computer without any breaks and Playing video games all the time.
Research indicates there are a number of social and environmental factors that are related to the teen drug problem in the world, with a significant number of teenagers engaging in some form of drug and/or alcohol testing period at some time during their adolescence. When teens are brought together under a foundation of negative influences – broken home, developmental problems, emotional issues, familial problems, etc. – the underlying risk factors inherent to structural functionalism can in many instances act as the agitator for substance abuse. Parents and families face some of their most difficult battles in our society; that is raising their teenager’s drug free. The programs used at drug rehab and treatment centers help teenagers to deal with issues in a more mature way so they are able to grow and mature into adulthood.
