Counselors are on your side, it is not you against them. It is very important that the person you seek has specialized training in addictions. Most often doctors and psychologists do not.
Remember that the toughest part of getting help for addiction is in admitting that you have a problem to begin with. If you have begun with that part, there are many people who are willing to help you with your drug rehab treatment, but the first step is deciding to help yourself.
